Nissan Problems
AC Not Cold Due to Pressure Hose Leak
The AC system may blow warm air due to refrigerant loss caused by a leaking low pressure AC hose. These hoses commonly develop a leak at the hose crimp connection.
Failed External Seal on Engine Oil Cooler May Leak
The external seal on the engine oil cooler can fail and create an oil leak.
Knocking Noise From Front Suspension
The front struts can wear prematurely and create a knocking noise when driving over bumps.
Erratic Fuel Gauge and/or Check Engine Light
The fuel level sensor can fail causing erratic or inaccurate fuel gauge readings. The Check Engine Light may also illuminate. Nissan has recalled 2006 - 2008 vehicles only for this fuel gauge issue. For more information on the recall, please click here»
Overheating/Lack of Ventilation May Cause Rear Axle Seals to Leak
Overheating and/or lack of proper venting can cause the rear axle seals to leak. Excessive fluid loss can result in major damage to the rear differential assembly and/or axle bearings.
Nissan Recalls (Recent)
Incorrect Rim Size on Tire Information Label
The tire information label may not contain the rim (wheel) size information. This could lead to an incorrect tire/wheel combination being installed on the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Nissan will supply owners with a new label and installation instructions. Owners who wish to do so may bring their vehicle to a Nissan dealer who will install the label for them.
Nissan Armada, Nissan TitanIncorrect Seating Information on Tire Information Label
The vehicle seating capacity may be incorrect on the tire information label on certain vehicles equipped with the sports appearance package. This could lead to vehicle overloading, increasing the risk of a crash. Nissan will supply owners with a new label and installation instructions. The owner has the option of taking their vehicle to a Nissan dealer to have the label installed.
Nissan TitanThe Engine May Stall at Slow Speeds or While Idling
Due to software programing, while driving at slow speeds or when idling; or with 1/4 tank of fuel or less and the vehicle heading down hill, the engine may stall due to insufficient fuel supply. Vehicle stalling could increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will reprogram the fuel pump control module to correct this concern.
Nissan QuestFuel Leak from Fuel Pressure Sensor
On certain vehicles, the fuel pressure sensor may not have been tightened to the correct specification. As a result, the fuel pressure sensor may loosen due to heat and vibration, causing a fuel leak. Fuel leaks always increase the risk of a fire. Dealers will replace the fuel pressure sensor to correct this concern.
Nissan JUKE
Tire Pressure Monitor System Not Activated
During vehicle assembly, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) was not activated. This could result in the vehicle being operated with underinflated tires, increasing the risk of tire failure and a possible crash. Dealers will activate the TPMS on the affected vehicles before they are sold.

Nissan Owners' Stories
Bought new in 1993, now has 330,000 miles on it. Still drives pretty well, aside from the usual stuff. Never rebuilt, hardly ever worked on. Replaced an injector, alternator, water pump + starter. AC doesn't work anymore, and passive seat-belts finally quit. Has a LARGE amount of body/frame rust. All things considered, not bad for a 20 year old car with over 300K miles. I'm pretty sure the rust will get her before the engine/drive train goes bad.
2005 nissan pathfinder...total electrical system burnout 7 days after replaceing the rely switch module! What would cause this?? Truck has 102,000 miles on it and has had no major issues until now.Nissan is saying anti-freez has gotten into the transmission due to the electrical motor malfunction and it is no longer any good. The car is still in virtually good shape, but with an est.$10,000 repair bill what is a person to do!!
bought my 2006 sentra with 40K on it and have run it up to 215K.
I love this car. It has always been reliable and has averaged 38 mpg over its life with me. I do alot of highway driving and it's never let me down. The only repair I've made other than routine oil changes was bearings in two wheels. front left and back left bearings were failing and needed replaced. I attribute that to some of my driving habits. lol
I have a 2007 Sentra, anybody have issues with Back end out of alignment
I bought an 02 Maxima with 59,000 miles, it's now at 81,000 miles and my experience ranks somewhere between nightmare and lemon. Everything is falling apart, it constantly needs work done on it. Now it has an engine knock and needs a new wheel mount. I'll never buy another Nissan for as long as I live, no car should need so much work done before the 100,000 mile mark has been reached.
