Honda Owners' Stories

I have a CRV 2005 EX, manual transmission. I feel it is a good vehicle so far. i dont have it for much time yet. in general i would say it is a ok vehicle. i have to say that i do preventive work. i dont wait to the last minute or until it brakes down to fix problems. it is good to change maybe before your manual calls for service
My 2002 Honda Accord EX is in the shop with warped rotors again! $495 to resurface. Honda Dealership replaced all four rotors 20,000 miles ago (August, 2012). They tell me the warranty is 12 months OR 12,000 miles so too bad for me. They always tell me too much rust - car is garaged when not driven. Yes, I do drive a lot. Original owner with 189,000 miles on car. I have never had a car where I have replaced so many brake pads and rotors. I am 60 and have not changed how I drive - so I think there is a design or material issue. May have to sell before 200,000 miles - not going to pay for another timing belt - way too expensive for value of car.
I am a owner of a 5 speed 2005 honda civic. I bought it brand new at the honda dealer from California. The car is well maintained. I changed oil every 3K, changed transmission fluid every 50K and replace timing belt and water pump once. I am still driving the car with 212,444 miles and going. Honda has excellent engine for the long miles as long as one does not misuse it or modify the engine. I put only genuine honda parts on the vehicle. I would buy nothingelse but Honda.
