Chrysler Problems
Noise in Front Suspension Due to Worn Sway Bar Bushings/End Links
Worn sway bar bushings or sway bar end links may cause a rattling or clunking noise from the front suspension during low-speed driving. Though not always the root cause, front struts are often replaced for this condition.
Excess Oil Consumption Issue
Excessive oil consumption—defined as more than one quart per 1,000 miles (on vehicles with less than 50,000 miles) or more than one quart per 750 miles (on vehicles with more than 50,000 miles)—is common. Common causes include exhaust valve guides, valve cover gaskets, camshaft plugs, camshaft seals, and crankshaft seal.
Water Leak Due to Plugged AC Drain
A plugged AC evaporator drain tube can cause a water leak inside the car; usually near the front passenger's feet.
Ticking Noise From Engine
The engine may develop a ticking noise, often caused by a broken retaining pin on the rocker arm shaft. When the pin breaks, the shaft can spin blocking the oil passage the rocker arms (which causes the ticking noise). The rocker arm shafts, rocker arms, and pedestals (sold as a kit) are commonly replaced in order to correct this condition.
Heated Seats Stop Working
The heated seats may stop working. Our technicians tell us special repair kits are available from Chrysler to correct this concern.
Chrysler Recalls (Recent)
Right Side Power Liftgate Pinch Sensor May Fail
Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with a right side liftgate pinch sensor that does not function properly. As a result, increased force may be required in order to stop the power liftgate during its final closing stages. If the power liftgate were to close on an appendage, personal injury may result. Dealers will replace the right side liftgate pinch sensor to correct this concern. The Chrysler recall number is M17.
Chrysler Town & CountryLoss of ABS/ESC Function Due to Overheated Fuse Box
These vehicles may lose anti-lock brake and electronic stability control system function due to an overheated power distribution center. This could lead to loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will relocate the ABE/ESC system fuse to correct this concern. The Chrysler recall number is M10.
Chrysler 300Engine May Suffer Internal Damage and Stop Running
667 vehicles equipped with a 3.6L engine are being recalled because a connecting rod bearing can fail due to debris inside the engine block. Connecting rod failure may lead to engine seizure, which can increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the engine to correct this concern. The Chrysler recall number is L33.
Chrysler Town & Country, Chrysler 200Right Rear Hub and Bearing Assembly May Fail
The right rear hub and bearing assembly may not have been fully machined. This could result in decreased durability. A failed hub assembly could cause the wheel to separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the right rear hub assembly to correct this concern. The Chrysler recall number is M13.
Chrysler Town & CountryTire Pressure Monitor System Calibration Error
The Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) does not warn the driver when a tire is 25% below the recommend pressure. The recalled vehicles notify the customers when the tire pressure reaches 22psi rather than the required 24psi. Underinflated tires can result in overheating of the tire, which could lead to a blowout and possible crash. Dealers will reprogram the TPMS to correct this concern. The Chrysler recall number is L43.

Chrysler Owners' Stories
i have a 1993 with over 200,000 miles. Everything is good except the "dome" lights don't work and the big issue - after we drive it for 40 minutes or so when it is near 80 degrees - the engine begins to cut out until it just quits. It seems to be a fuel issue but after you let it sit for about 20 minutes it starts up and is fine for awhile. I took it to the garage - didn't act up for them. any ideas?
I bought my 2001 chrysler concorde 2.7 v6 in 2008. The car had 72000 miles on it. The car was in exellent condition. I allways change the oil and did the proper maintainence on the car. At 83000 miles the timing chain broke damaging the oil pump. The motor was full of sludge. I replaced the timing chains, oil pump. water pump and belts and hoses. at 92000 miles I replaced the alternater and the front belt guide wheel. Then at 98000 I had to replace the right side drag link arm on the front end. Now at less than 100000 miles the car has blown a head gasket. This car is garbage. Chrysler Products are junk. When you are thinking of buying a chrysler or Dodge product STOP THINKING,
I put a alternater and a new ignition switch and its not starting still..
Bought new, can't keep brakes on it, rusting along rockers and underneath. Garage kept & well maintained 94000. No more chrysler for me.
I hate this car. I bought it almost 4 years ago and have had nothing but trouble from day 1. My car burns oil for whatever reason. I have replaced the wheel barrings 3 times, tie rods once, front suspension last November and the front left wheel barring for the 4th time shortly after my suspension was replaced. Also about a year after I got my car the paint on the hood only started chipping. Last November while I got my suspension done I also had them repaint my hood because all of the paint had chipped off!! Now the gears are starting to slip between 2 and 3 and between 3 and 4. My advice is do not ever buy a Chrysler, total waste of money.
